Seizure and Brain Injury Centre

About Us

Connecting on a personal level is an important part of sharing ideas. On this page we'll present some details about our organization and the people behind it.

A BIT OF HISTORY
The Centre was founded in July 1988 by a young man (Pekka Tuohimma) who suffered from severe EPILEPSY. In 1991 the Centre went through some rough times. Rhonda Latendresse was then hired, and with her dedication, perseverence, marketing skills and along with a strong team of volunteers, the Centre has become what it is to-day.

This Centre's goal is to bring an equal, respectable quality of life for those touched by EPILEPSY or ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY. The aforementioned should not be the deciding factor in an individuals choices, chances or opportunities. This is our mandate.

We are very excited to let you know that we have affiliated our centre with  OBIA, which is the Ontario Brain Injury Association.
