What to look for:
- Poor concentration
- Memory problems-especially with new information
- Dizziness, light-headed feeling
- Excessive fatigue
- Difficulty processing information (even though intelligence remains intact)
- Visual, speech and hearing disturbances
- Reduced initiative
- Socially inappropriate behavior
- Impulsivity
- Irritability and mood volatility
- Emotional / behavioral outbursts
- Persistent or recurring headaches
While most impairments as a result of ABI diminish after a period of healing, some injuries however,
are long- term and can last forever.
